H490 - A New Family of Double-Sided Inserts with 4 Helical Cutting Edges
ISCAR is introducing another evolution of the original HELIMILL
line ?HELIDO ?a new family of tools for 90? milling.
The new HELIDO H490 ANKX rectangular inserts have 4 helical
right-hand cutting edges. They are available in cutting edge lengths
of 9, 12 and 17 mm.
Insert construction is very thick and strong. It is clamped into a dovetail inclined pocket which provides a very rigid clamping and has
a wiper which leaves an excellent surface finish.
Due to its strong construction, unique chip deflector with positive cutting angles and excellent grade combinations, this new family features high durability, low cutting forces and long tool life.
Our most advanced SUMO TEC grades ensure excellent
performance and reliability.
The new HELIDO tools can be used for machining steel,
stainless steel and cast iron at very high machining parameters.
In the first stage, ISCAR is introducing the following tool range:
- For the H490 ANKX 0904.. insert:
Endmills in diameters 20 to 50 mm and face mills in a range
of 50 to 80 mm.
- For the H490 ANKX 1205.. insert:
Endmills in diameters 25 to 40 mm and face mills in a range
of 50 to 80 mm.
- For the H490 ANK/CX 1706.. insert:
Endmills in diameters 32 to 50 mm, face mills in a range
of 40 to 250 mm and shell mills in a range of 63 to 100 mm.
The tools can machine 90? shoulders, plunge with large stepover and can perform slotting and facing operations. All HELIDO H490 tools have coolant holes. The HELIDO family combines the most advantageous features of both the HELIMIL? helical cutting edge and positive rake angle; and the MILL2000 strong construction,
most suited for heavy milling applications. The thick and robust insert with 4 cutting edges is very economical when taking into account the price per corner (when compared to the single-sided inserts).
